What is the closing cost credit, and who qualifies?
It is a closing cost credit applied toward closing costs on the purchase of your new home outside California. You qualify if you currently own a California home, you plan to sell it and buy in another state, you work with the destination agent we introduce you to, and your purchase closes with that agent representing you. If you rent, or you buy with a different agent, the credit does not apply.
Does any of this cost me anything?
No. There is no fee to you at any point. We are paid a referral fee by the agent we introduce you to, out of the commission they already earn on your purchase. The credit is funded from that fee, not added to your closing costs.
Are you affiliated with the State of California or any government agency?
No. Exit California, LLC is a private company founded in late 2018 by two real estate industry colleagues. We are not a government program, not a nonprofit, and not affiliated with any state agency. We are a referral business and we say so plainly.
What happens after I submit the form, and how long does it take?
We read what you sent, build your equity report for your specific home and the states you are considering, and get it back to you within two business days. If your destination is set, we introduce you to one vetted agent in that market. One agent, not a pool, and your contact information is not sold or resold.
I already submitted something. How do I reach you about it?
Email Support@ExitCalifornia.org and include the name and email you used. That is the fastest way to get the same person picking it back up. You can also use the form below and say it is about an existing submission.
